This series is my love letter to the cartoons, the toys, the comic books, and the games of the 1980s. The Last Earth is a science fantasy where the last of humanity fight for dominance of a savage and transformed Earth of the far future.

Welcome to my first Comic Haul Video. Part of the process of making of comics is the reading of comics for inspiration and instruction. To this end I have my most recent haul of books from a local used bookstore.
I also recommend the guys over at the Turbo-Pit Fighter channel. They are also creating a comic series and documenting the process online. https://youtube.com/@turbo_pit-fighter_comic
Finally for my fellow Michael Moorcock fans out there, let me recommend the Breakfast In The Ruins Podcast. A great show for all things Moorcock and the Eternal Champion.

When I want to take a break from my main project, The Last Earth comic strip, I like to practice by digitally inking the pencils of some of my favorite artists. In this case Jack Kirby’s pencils for Issue 6 Page 23 of Super Powers from DC Comics. Fitting in with the inspirations for The Last Earth, this was a toy tie in series with the Super Powers action figure line from the 80’s.

I am excited to announce my first ashcan for The Last Earth comic strip. I have collected the first month of strips into handy 16 page ashcan. I will be selling these in person at Phoenix FanFusion event June 2-4. I plan to create monthly Ashcan’s to collect each months strips. I am working on ways to get these issues into reader hands. More on that in the future. Until then you can find the Last Earth merch at my RedBubble store.
